These
small parks were originally gazetted to allow rail travellers a glimpse
of the original vegetation of the area.
These include Eudlo National Park,
Ferntree Creek National Park, Tuckers Creek National Park, Dularcha National
Park.
Access
is via Landsborough, Nambour, or Coast Rd near Palmwoods / Eudlo. There
are no facilities.

Mooloolah
River National Park
This
park contains important wallum heathland which provides a wealth of colourful
flowers in spring.
Canoe along the Mooloolah River, ride past the park on the bike
trial or walk along the fire management trails.
Access via Claymore Road, Sippy Downs.

Peregian
National Park
This area lies on the
sand dunes south of Peregian Beach.
It is a rich wallum wild flower area that
runs almost the length of the Sunshine Coast.
A board walk and walking tracks
are provided. Smaller reserves include the picturesque
Buderim Forest Park with its waterfalls and boardwalk, The
beautiful Foote Sanctuary near Buderim, and Corbould Environmental Parks near
the Maroochy River and Coolum.
There
are also enjoyable walks to Mount Ninderry and Mount Coolum - each with
spectacular views.
