Gheerula State Forest
This area includes rugged landscape with sheer cliffs and interesting rock formations. Trail bike riding is available under permit though riders must be licensed with registered motorcycles.
There is very good bushwalking and vehicle access via Eumundi - Kenilworth Road. Gheerula is located 6km from Kenilworth.

The camping area includes BBQ's, water, picnic tables, firewood and toilets.

Walks include the Picnic Creek circuit, Rock Pools walk and the Kondalilla Falls circuit.
There is no camping allowed in this area though picnic tables, toilets, BBQ’s and a shelter shed is provided.

Obi Obi Gorge National Park
This relatively inaccessible park is most often viewed by rubber raft or lilo from Obi Obi Creek.
The creek passes through narrow gorges which fringe the border of the national and state forests.
Access to the creek is from Maleny vis Baroon Pocket Rd.

Park Scene   Mapleton Falls National Park

This small national park is rich in wildlife, especially birds, frogs and reptiles.

The park's Pencil Creek tumbles 120m over Mapleton Falls and flows through subtropical rainforest and tall open forest. Walks include the 1hour Wompoo Circuit.

The park includes toilets, picnic tables and limited wheelchair accessibility.
