Conondale National Park
The wilderness of Conondale includes almost impenetrable subtropical rainforest situated about five of the tallest peaks in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
The park includes six major forest types and has many unique fauna species, some only found in this area.
Take the Bruce Highway and follow the signs to Maleny. Drive north on Kenilworth Road and follow the signs.
Park Scene

Walks include the Fire Management Trail, the Mount Langley Walk, and the walk to Booloumba Falls and the Breadknife. Only experienced bushwalkers with sound navigational skills should attempt off track walking.

Camping facilities include toilets, taps, BBQ's, fire-rings and water. Bring your own clean-milled firewood. Swimming is permitted in some locations.

Park Scene
Jimna State Forest
Part of the rugged Connondale Range featuring beautiful forests, scenic lookouts, waterfalls and creeks. It includes good bird-watching, swimming holes and Queensland's highest fire tower.
Access by conventional vehicle is via the Kilcoy - Murgon Rd. The forest is located south west of the town of Kenilworth.
Peach Treescamping area is suitable for families and groups though bookings may be required close to holidays and long weekends. Facilities include camping and caravanning facilities, picnic tables, fireplaces, taps, toilets and showers. Bring your own clean-milled firewood. There is limited wheelchair access.

Kenilworth State Forest
Magnificent Forests, deep gorges and spectacular views typify this area as part of the Connondale Range. Walking tracks and a forest drive lead to rainforests and clear mountain streams.

Access is via conventional vehicle via the Maleny - Kenilworth Road. This forest is located 6km south of Kenilworth.

Bookings are required for holiday camping. There are a number of excellent camping areas that can be accessed and they offer toilets, taps, BBQ’s and fire-rings in rainforest settings. Bring your own clean-milled firewood.
Little Yabba Creek and Charlie Moreland State Forest Park are two popular places in this beautiful forest area.

Park Scene   Borumba Dam
Surrounded by native and plantation forests, Lake Borumba is well stocked with fish.

Mary River cod are "catch and release" only. The attractive campsite at Yabba Creek is located below the dam wall. Borumba Dam is 12km south west of the town of Imbil.
The camping area includes covered picnic areas, water, toilets, showers, BBQ’s fireplaces and wood supplied. There is also limited wheelchair access and facilities for a wide range of water sport activities.
