Sunshine Plaza has over 210 specialty shops, cinemas and restaurants. Access to the upper level is via a large lift or flat escalators designed for both shopping trolleys and wheelchairs.

A-La-Carte restaurants at Mooloolaba along the Esplanade offer fine dinning and easy access for those with limited mobility. Tourist attractions with both wheelchair access and accessible toilets include Aussie World, Australia Zoo, Big Pineapple and Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary. Attractions with wheelchair access only are the Ginger Factory at Yandina, Underwater World, Super Bee and Fairhill Native Plants & Botanic Gardens.

Nature-based attractions include Buderim Forest Park and the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary at Bli Bli. Both facilities have wheelchair access via a boardwalk for part of the way. Buderim Forest Park also has a disabled toilet.
Enjoy the beautiful Maroochy weather and coastal scenery by travelling along a sealed public track, which winds its way from Mooloolaba to the Maroochy River along the foreshore. The ocean can be viewed from the track for the majority of the way.
