Mapleton
Mapleton, settled in 1888, is the northern most point of the Blackall Range and is the first of the hinterland villages as visitors travel from Nambour. Home of the Mapleton Yarn Festival at the local Mapleton Tavern, Mapleton is a great place to enjoy a pint with lunch and views that go on forever.


Mapleton includes quality hosted accommodation, caravan parks and the beautiful Liliponds Park.

Flaxton
Flaxton features some fine examples of early "Queenslander" timber homes with spacious verandas and tongue in groove timber walls.
Kangaroo
Located on the seaward side of the Blackall Range escarpment, Flaxton has expansive views of the Sunshine Coast.

Consisting of a small group of restaurants, guesthouses, art and craft galleries, and private dwellings nestled in among the avocado orchards, Flaxton is an ideal place to picnic and enjoy life.
Montville
Montville was first settled in 1887 and is today known by some as the "Creative Heart of the Sunshine Coast". This charming village is home to a range of quality art galleries that exhibit, and sometimes produce, works of great interest to all art lovers. Shoppers also love the many craft shops, fashion boutiques and gift shops that exhibit a staggering range of affordable, locally made items.Close to Montville is the Kondalilla National Park. Kondalilla is aboriginal for 'rushing waters' and is home to scenic walks and spectacular waterfalls. It is ideal for a picnic, a swim, or just to escape into the cool rainforest.The villages of the Blackall range are just 35 minutes drive from Maroochydore and are a wonderful alternative to Maroochy's beachside communities.

Kenilworth
Kenilworth is the heart of the beautiful Mary Valley and was surveyed off Kenilworth Station in 1921. It still has the original 1920's ambience, with its tree lined main street that accommodates the area's main business houses
