Aquarium, specialty shopping and a variety of family restaurants. It is
also within walking distance of a patrolled surfing beach, beachfront parkland

There is no vehicle access to the beach from the park, however access to the
beach by 4WD vehicles is located at the "third cutting", which is less than 1km
north of the park entrance. There are definitely no fires, braziers or webers
allowed in the park or on the beach: all cooking on gas appliances only. There
are no cooking facilities provided at the Park.
Beachfront Caravan Park
Beachfront Caravan Park is a popular location for
recreational activities such as camping, fishing and beach walking, but please
note the beach is not patrolled.
The Park is quite large and visitors are welcome to choose their own site. There
are a small number of powered sites, suitable for caravans, which can be booked.
Bookings are taken up to 12 months in advance. Camping is not permitted on the
beach or foreshore in the Noosa Region.
Even though the Park is mostly in its natural state, there are toilet and shower
amenities onsite. As Fauna and Flora in the reserve are protected, animals are
not permitted in the reserve or the Park. There are no streetlights at the park,
so we suggest you bring a torch.

Fauna and Flora in the reserve is protected. Dogs are not permitted in the
reserve or the park.
We provide hot showers, flushing toilets and drinking water in a central
amenities block which is cleaned daily.
Gas barbecues and wood burning fireplace barbecues are provided. Vehicles should be parked in the areas provided. Visitors wishing to
enter the campground should first register with the caretakers. Fees apply for
day use of the facilities.
Boreen Point Camping Ground
Boreen Point Camping Grounds - bushland camping on
the shore of the largest lake on the Noosa River - Lake Cootharaba.
Lake Cootharaba has been a popular location for recreational activities such as
camping, fishing and sailing for more than 70 years. The lake has a long sandy
foreshore for the length of the park. Camping is not permitted on the beach or
foreshore. You may leave boats and watercraft on the beach during your stay.
Boreen Point sports facilities including a sports field with cricket pitch, BMX
track, tennis court, skateboard park and basketball practice area are located
behind the campground.
The campground is quite large and visitors are welcome to choose their own site.
We do not take reservations for sites. However, we have a small number of powered
sites, suitable for caravans, which can be booked. Bookings are taken up to 12
months in advance.
As the park is mostly in it’s natural state, the roads are gravel, and we do not
offer laundry Facilities or playground equipment.
Day visitors are welcome to use the beach, foreshore picnic areas and sports
facilities.
